Thank you to everyone who entered the competition. The submissions brought a welcome variety of approaches, were a pleasure to read and made for an engaging judging process.
In response to Swarbrules and Darla, it is a compiler's duty almost to be politically incorrect, and girls can iondeed be boys nowadays, except in some countries.

The shortlist consisted of Raffles 3, Paul 17 & 33, Swarbrules 18, Darla 29, Aristophanes 30, Jono 31 and Eider 37

After a day of emotions, promotions and demotions, the following three surfaced to the top.
