Pretty tough, with the usual slew of obscure words. However, unless I have gone badly wrong, the solution to 11A should be 4 words.

It says 4 words on the pdf so must just be a mistake on the online version

4d - Choice of 200 monkeys no longer adopted (4)

I had the crossers PLU so chose M as my last letter to fit with "choice", but the parsing is given as a DD but I can't find any reference to the rest of the clue under PLUM - have I got it wrong?

A monkey is 500 quid and plum used to be 100,000

Ditto. In the meantime, I'd googled for 200 monkeys plums and of course hit on something that on the face of it looked as if it might just be relevant. But now very glad to see there's a principled established explanation. The word count for 11A has now been corrected in all versions.

Can any kind should give me a hint on 13 down? Is it the name of politician? I have the middle letters but suspect I may have 25 across wrong. Thanks
