In 2nd: jono's tinned potatoes (@13) - and I wondered in advance if anyone would latch on to this construction, so elegantly found by Arachne a few years ago ("Local tinned potatoes in Delhi? (6)").

The winning entry couldn't have been simpler, but how I enjoyed the link between the definition and the footballing theme of the clue.
