Well this was reasonably straightforward and I have all the unclueds, but I cannot locate the entry in Brewers. Certainly not under the obvious heading, unless my Millennium edition needs updating.

BuzzyBee, my 19th edition has the unclueds, just where you'd expect them to be...

PS The puzzle was a little too straightforward for me.

Thanks Malone. It would be helpful if they referred to the edition, so that we can avoid fruitless searches.

I don’t own Brewers but I do have 9 of a kind (supported by the puzzle’s title). There seem to be two possible spellings for 15a with a change to the fourth letter which isn’t checked. “i” seems less common so I’ll go with the other option.

I agree with your overall assessment, Malone.

Jono, the 'i' version for 15 A is the one listed in Chambers....

Thanks, Malone. Also in the list in Bradford’s I’ve just seen. Thanks for clarifying.

Thanks, Jono. I checked Brewer's only because of Buzzybee's comment, just to see if my edition contained the information.

Sorry, Jono, I've just noticed that I typed Chambers rather than Brewer's, where the 'i' version is listed.

Thanls, Jono, I hoped you did - but didn't want to bewilder anyone else looking in!
