A nice puzzle as is always the case with Shark. I struck lucky with the endgame as I've stayed at and been to meetings in what needs to be highlighted.

Grid filled, message found, but not blessed with anything approaching relevance to anything. Are we looking for surnames, or first names as well? And does the list of names start in the usual place (which seems promising)?

Cockie, the list - of surnames - starts where I always like it to start, in that top corner cell.

Cockie, if you have the message and do as it says, it's definitely enough to get you to the theme itself - I've just checked that. And that should make it much easier to fill in your blanks.

Malone - you are brainier than I am (and almost certainly a lot younger). I don't know how to interpret the message, which looks a lot like gobbledygook trickery - and then a word which doesn't have a one-word synonym. Are the three words then synonyms for parts of the oath? I've tried googling oath with three of the (guessed) names including one in plain view, but Mr G has let me down. Is the first name a posh car?

Cockie, I've emailed you. I've also just tried Googling the posh car, the last seven-letter name (just before the posh car) and the title - and that took me to the theme too...

PS Cockie, and everyone, I'm not being unhelpful - I just wanted Cockie to have an 'Aah, so that's where we're going' moment.

Nearly done but for the second word of the hiding place. The first (4 letters) is in plain sight but I can’t see what to change to get the second without creating non-words. A nudge (or heavy shove) would be appreciated.

first word is 3 letters, change 1st
second word is 4 letters, carries on, no changes
