I had intended to post my query in the Azed thread but I somehow managed to post it in Gemelo, probably because I’d popped in there to have a look. You both seemed to understand what I meant though so thanks😂

Thank you very much Jono, I draw out the grid for the Listener and IQ so oviously don't send them in but these digital prize puzzles at least allow me to be in the mix, which is nice.

Lynne, the lady from the Observer who emailed asked if I'd prefer to be posted an actual book token or have one sent digitally. I think I must have still been in a state of shock or something because I selected digital which I now regret because I wanted to get a copy of Bradford's which is only available as an actual paper or hard back.

With a bit of luck, though, I'm hoping there's a way that I can still use it one of the larger book shops like Waterstones.

Thanks for the update, Brendan. I liked hearing about how the system - for the Observer puzzles - works. I've never entered any of theirs, but I think it's lovely that you can choose which kind of token you'll get. I don't think you'll have any problems using it in a branch of Waterstones (other bookshops are available).

Renewed congratulations, Bren. Changed days - under the previous regime I was one of the Azed randomly chosen few a couple of times. On the first occasion, I saw my name in the paper but heard nothing more. On the second, I got an envelope in the post with three book tokens ( two £10 and a £5) with a compliments slip on which the Azed competition number had been written in a shaky hand - and then over-written to correct a mistake, I was also once a Genius winner and it took nearly four months to receive - do you remember them? - a cheque. Apropos Bradfords, I have it on Kindle; but I got that several years ago and it may no longer be available in that format.
