Re the Gardener heist, when it happened I couldn’t believe one of my favorite Titians wasn’t taken.
Back in the seventies the wonderful Worcester Art Museum was robbed but everything (including my favorite Gaugin) was recovered. I grew up in a small town in Massachusetts and the robber lived a few hundred feet from me. Not long ago I read in the Smithsonian Magazine that this was the first armed robbery of an art museum in the world.

I see Gardner has been corrected to Gardener. 🤓
