5 Mitre, abbot's hat. Mire, muck, with the T from the end (his back) of 'abbot', inside, covered.

4 down, in addition, husband pocketing pounds for roadside kiosk,
I have tolbooth but can't quite make out the reasoning. Too is in addition, h for husband and lb for pounds but that leaves another o and t, I must be missing something?

I think “in addition” is “to boot”.

I usually do the Jumbo a week in arrears but still too early to consult blogs.
This was a decent puzzle with some obscurities but I’m struggling to understand 37D.

I have the answer but can’t see any wordplay. Is it just a rather weak reverse definition ?

Sorry, I should have included the clue!

37D Two months suggested? Perhaps June and July (9)

The answer is obvious but is this cryptic?
