A second offering from Skylark this weekend and, while not quite as sparkling as the IQ, it was great fun and brought back some part-remembered learning from school (a very long time ago!)

This brought back memories of history lessons from long ago. I still use that particular place name whenever I head there.

I always feel foolishly gratified if I know anything about a theme. This one I remember so well. We chanted the towns at school, also the ones “across the border” for the other product.

Would welcome help again.

I have spotted the "Chalicea Line" word, but as often, am struggling to find more.

Fred, 21d, is GREAVES, an alternative spelling of "grieves", but you need to look up "grieve" in Chambers to see it.
11a. Yes, Def. is "Parks" Extra letter in "atria"
12a. Yes

... re 21 d. I meant you need to look up "greave" as it doesn't show under "greaves"

Apart from the 'Chalicea line' the highlighting is vertical and one of the answers for which you needed a hint forms part of one of the names to be highlighted.

I've got it all sorted out now.

I had looked up "greave" but had somehow failed to spot the last bit in my online Chambers saying it was an alternative spelling.
Doh!
