Was surprised at the first round of votes and had done three celebratory laps of the kitchen waving my silver and bronze before I realised you had delegated the counting to Pres Maduro.

Congrats Aristo on the re-count.

Thanks so much for all the votes, folks (especially the multiples), and for hosting, paul. Quite the array of prizes. In Massachusetts one must be licensed to practice as a psychic. Who would risk going to an unofficial one? Thank goodness for quality control.

Great clues all around! (I did like yours, dorrien. Do you remember McLuhan’s appearance in Annie Hall?) Hope to see you all next weekend.

Congrats Aristo and thanks to Paul.

Hi Dorrien, I’m relatively new here and find the voting can be most in ter est ing (I’m in Alec Guinness/ Kind Hearts and Coronets mode) - Uma’s bum gets a vote but my stupendous MU DIEM fails to score🥲. Stick with it!

Thanks for the votes - much appreciated, particularly Swarb - you’ve restored faith in my concomitant crudity (I was half thinking I should cease and desist after my over-the-shoulder bolder holder extravaganza).

Good honest vulgarity has been around since the Greeks and Romans and in later days we have The Miller's Tale and Gargantua and Pantagruel both by well respected authors. Long may it continue.

raffles, with MU DIEM are you referring to clue 10? I think the surface is clever but perhaps the reason it did not get any votes it that it doesn't work cryptically.

"player" doesn't seem to be a part of the wordplay; you have MU + DIEM but I don't see an anagram indicator. Maybe I'm missing something with the parsing, in which case ignore me.

Even with an anagram indicator it would be indirect (think of a word for day, then make an anagram from it). It might work as a reversal if you can move the position if the i.

On the subject of being “bawdy” (for want of a better word!) I’ve never known that stand in the way of votes :-)
