For 13a the extra word in this case is (it). I agree the answer is non juror. Triff seems fine , extra letter is(A) from deaf. Hope this helps.

Don't worry too much about the "extra letters/words" - you can complete the grid without knowing them all. 1/43 is the giveaway.
