Should not have attempted this, way beyond me and not much fun.

1a On radio, Britain's leader clarified way to go (5)
??A?O.

4a Sleep-inducing, singular work, opening shortly (9)
Soporific? s and op = singular work, can't parse 'orific'.

23 Reward Tom perhaps, for waiting game (6)
Googling suggests 'tipcat', which is a game I've never heard of and doesn't seem to involve waiting.

1 Bravo, way to go, well done etc. On radio - NATO alphabet, B for Bravo, and B is the first letter, leader, of the word Britain.
