My final two unsolved clues are 20 ac and 20 dn. Hopefully out of these I'll get two more clashes!

Dylan, I'm not clear whether you're just giving a progress report or whether you are looking for a steer on 20a & 20d. The final letters of each will provide you with your 16th & 17th clashes. If you need more specific nudges, just say. 20d was the last clue I solved.

I'm sorry that I wasn't clearer. Yes, I'm stuck on the last two, and would appreciate a nudge
Thanks

20a player of rock seems a better definition to me.
20d is a bone, synonym for rattle has first letter raised.

What does 'reveal' mean? I am tempted to get out the highlighter. On the other hand, the changed letters should be enough. Surely you won't be marked wrong for being careful?

A very clever construction and a relief after a succession of very hard puzzles.

Have had a good grid fill thanks to generous cluing and will move on to the next stage tomorrow.
This week's however is ....

I am struggling with 27 down. Only one word seems to first and is this poorly defined by the last word of the clue? Are any of the letters in the answer clashes? If so it is hard to see where thye occur.

If some kind friend would put me out of my misery I'll continue. A happy new year to you all.
