thanks quisling - cant fully parse it but that can wait till the puzzle is complete!

I'm pretty much in the same place as Gitto was. Full grid, apart from 2a and 1d, have the message and the shaded undefineds. Can think of a letter that fits 1a and 1d but suspect a vehicle for courting may not be the required entries. 😄

I assume the £25 in the title is a slang version?

Not £25 this time - try it together with the title (there's no quick fix for cell 1}.

Thanks drxx. The penny dropped on the contents of square 1 (After googling the highlighted undefineds as a group). So, I think, just the final instruction to deal with.

Went to post Christmas cards, came back and glanced at this again. Bink! Done. 👍
