7d has me absolutely baffled.

Best known champion shearer down under? (6)

The letters I have are O - T - U - (and I don’t think any of them are wrong).

Please can anyone help?

The final three letters are an ace Australian/NZ sheep shearer!

Thanks - but I can't say I'm any the wiser! Are you referring to the name of a real person, or is it just an Aussie term? And what's the answer?

7d was dreadful, how many people can be expected to know that? After a couple of pleasant weeks I found this to be a slog.

Any thoughts on 50d:
Repetitious complaint about old volunteers in four pairs? (5)
o?t?d

And I can’t parse:
30a. Westminster denizen's game up? One jerk to be put inside (8)
Is this ‘politico’? If so, I can see the one jerk (itic) and polo as the game but now how it is ‘up’.

OCD around TA, and up as in on horseback.

I thought 7d a perfectly fair clue - all elements are in the BRB, but horses for courses I guess.
