This looks like it's 'arrested' but in what sense does that mean 'ran in'?

SB, 'run in' simply means to arrest , it's in Chambers.

Crew, I suppose. But is that ever used as the past tense of crow, I've only ever heard 'crowed'.

to a t is the ideal way, then there's ma and two S(ons), but it doesn't seem to be in the right order, and i don;t see where the ter comes from

Chambers gives 'crew, past tense of crow' - but I have never heard or seen anyone using it!
