22a Strewth! Directions about foot complaint (5)

I had confidently written in CORNS (COR NS), but the crossers show it to be ?C?R?. If the COR is in the middle, this would seem to be either SCORE or SCORN, but I can't see a definition for either. Any pointers?

Chris
This is a puzzler as the setter seems to have changed his mind half way through how it is to be parsed, or changed the answer and forgot to rewrite the clue. .
If the def. is complaint, then score fits (Chambers: grievance, grudge)
rather than scorn (contempt)
The def. cannot be foot complaint which would have been corns . .
Looks to be another of RT's errors of which there have been quite a lot over the years
Strewth is probably cor with SE around it. But then why is foot included in the clue !
I am lost

Option two
Strewth could be the def. (oath, contempt, scorn)
Direction's (S) about Corn (foot complaint)
(apostrophe added )
But that also is not quite right.

At the time of typing, no one has queried this clue on the other site (AB)
but I could query it there if you wish

Thanks for your efforts, jazzgirl - I'm relieved that it's not just me that's puzzled!
Don't bother to take it further on my behalf.

could it be scorn ...

to foot (kick) a complaint - show disdain/dismiss ?

Two solution sites have now given the answer as scorn without a parsing
