What a fabulous puzzle. Completing the jigsaw has given me googly eyes, but worth it for the result. Like its theme, an impressive construction

25-41 This is one of the adjusted clues.
4 letter word for "commotion"
usual 2 letter abbreviation for "that is"
last letter of the adjusted word "rats".
29-19 Part of garment 3 letters (think limb)
around the last letter of seaman.

It's late in the week and still quite a way to go for me on this. Would welcome tips for 22 Huntsman clue mentioned before, and the long one 6-28. Chamber for cooker?

Lumen,
Both are subtractive anagrams. 6-28 needs an adjustment to one word.

Thanks mattrom. Got hunter.
Guessed what was needed in the other but can't see how chamber for cooker can be two letters.

Lumen, have a look at chamber in err Chambers, then, metaphorically, look under the bed.
