Congrats Chris and Sue, and thanks mattrom (also for the mention).

The Swan Lake clip reminded me of a spoof I've seen, but I can't remember who did it. Marx Brothers? Morecambe and Wise? Two Ronnies? Any one else remember?

Thanks Mattrom.

Not heard of Romi before, very relaxing.
Fans of opera, but never been keen on ballet.
Among her many talents, Sue is a competent artist, so she enjoyed the Titian clip.

Buddy has a valid point about “ censor” versus “ censure”.
Think we were torn between a homophone and a synonym and might even have had an autocorrect intervention!

Congratulations, simplesimon, and thanks, mattrom. Loved the Titian clip! Just today I used a rose madder glaze.
Several years ago we went to the blockbuster Titian-Tintoretto-Veronese show in Boston. I had said to my wife beforehand that it would seem unfair to Tintoretto and Veronese to exhibit them with Titian, and after we’d been there a few minutes she said to me, “I see what you mean.” Oddly enough The Rape of Europa wasn’t included, even though it lives right next door at the Gardner. I can’t believe it wasn’t taken in that horrifying heist; it’s the first thing I would have grabbed.

aristo, I can't resist

As Titian was mixing rose madder
His model was posed on a ladder
Her position to Titian
Suggested coition
So he leapt up the ladder and 'ad her
