1d Whoopee! Ninth out, India’s opener, caught Milne – put that in the book!

Answer turns out to be Winnie the Pooh which 225 gives as an anagram of I + whoopee ninth. Would someone please explain how "caught Milne-put that in the book! " works . I know that AA Milner wrote the WTP book but I just can't see it.

Caught is part of the wordplay i.e. to include the I in the other fodder. So definition is what Milne put in his book (and the theme for the puzzle)

Ah that's better explained than 225. I usually try the FT but when I saw that several clues referred to others, I gave it a miss and went straight to 225.
