Hi Norah. I use a different email address for open communications to avoid being spammed on my main email address. Hope this is OK.

Thanks, Smartie. I typed the address as carefully as I could, but it pinged straight back.

No problem at all, Smartie, I was just concerned that the dreaded ā€œspell checkā€ had intervened😰

Now that the PDF has been sent and received, I’ll remove the email address you quoted in Post 13, we don’t recommend posting proper email addresses on the Forum for security reasons.

It’s a pleasure to help, Smartie, not that the MD Ash (aka dear son) pays me extra for working outside office hours😰

The Forum is the first thing I look at in the morning and again last thing at night, plus myriad times in between.

I thought this was a lovely puzzle. Two half-clues unparsed for me although I'm confident the answers and entries are correct: 1ac and 12ac, both the left-hand-side-of-the-grid ones. Did anyone manage to parse these?

12A - word for ā€˜knowing’ - three letters, in Chambers - often used in jazz associated with ā€˜cat’ - inside word for dump, noun.

The two-word whole phrase isn’t in Chambers on its own, but is buried in entry 5 for the second word.
