24a "One negative effect that's associated with station" (5)

I've got I*E*T and I think it will be INERT but I'm not sure why. I'm working on "one" providing the "I" and I've seen somewhere that "NE" can be an abbreviation for "negative". So is RT a recognised abbreviation for result or "effect"? And where does the station come into it? Is this referring to an inert object being stationary?
Have I got this right or am I way off in my parsing?

Ah. Thanks Jono. That makes far more sense. Still, at least I should get some marks for creativity!
