That's time, and here are the results. I apologize for the brevity, but I need to start PR shortly.

Chris got things off to a great start with a very smooth surface for his Roman numeral clue. Buddy was right after with "the Spanish" (not Inquisition.) These made my short list along with Jono's historical reference to Sandinistas, Patrick's use of the IVR code for Switzerland, and Aristo's concoction, although it doesn't sound appetizing. Honourable mention to geeker for his attempt to bring back Ethel. Ultimately, I thought Chris started things off excellently, and none surpassed his clue, so he is the winner with his economical

Gosh! Thanks Darla. I quite liked my clue, but I thought there were several other clues equally as good, if not better! (I particularly liked jono @12, patrich @16 and 27, tyke51 @19, and buddy @20.)
