Hi Pauly,

9a - Single letter "Picaroon" (the setter) inside 5 letter "craving lucre" - definition is "forgivable"

14d - If you look at the words "Marxism" and "Leninism" you'll see they both contain a ?????? reversed - definition is "old issue"

6d - 2 letter "during" + 4 letter "school" + 5 letter "outcast" reversed/turned up + 4 letter "advanced" - definition is "means of deterring pests".

14 look closely at the last two words - can you find something in common reversed?

I know how 5d should work, but I haven't spotted the "parent" word!

5d - Is a 6 letter "fans" (admirers) minus its outer letters/removing clothing - definition is "part of game"
