I think some posts are missing from this thread? On the home page it says there are 23 posts but only 20 appear (the last being Muraria's from yesterday). This one may not appear either...

Prospero, 14 is a type of cheese (the second word is the first name of a footballer who became an actor, sort of) and 20 could be defined by young kangaroo. 13 parses as a word for a refrigerated ship minus its last letter (the penultimate letter is the extra one).

many thanks, loge all done now, and apologies that my post appeared three times because the site wasn't taking it (and still doesn't seem to have counted it!) ... just have to work out the hint now but of course it isn't necessary for submitting. There was once a genius that required you to submit the extra trappings but that hasn't happened for a while now and, as previous commentators have said, it feels a bit superfluous

20a - I can't see what category matches this guy - yes, he's a 'television personality' but he isn't an actor or presenter

Can anyone throw any light on 6dn? Apart from that I've got a full grid and as far as I can see it's not really necessary to work out all the allusions is it - apart from the ones that are obvious, that is?
