Help please with last two in:

23a "Advertising something knights wore on horse" (4,4)

J?N? M?I? It looks like JUNK MAIL for advertising but if so not sure how
horse fits in with junk?

I'm also assuming here that 21d "Intended to delay appearance of English artist:" (5) is MANET rather than MEANT?

Are junk and horse both slang for drugs (heroin)? Don't know!

Yes, MANET. The E is moved backwards

23 I think Horse and Junk are both slang terms for drugs, street drugs (but whether that;s heroin or cocaine, I don't know!)

Yes, to 21 D - the 'delay appearance of English' means the E in Meant gets pushed back a bit.

Indeed, ChrisE. I went off to look up the drugs, then decided I didn't need the detailed information.

Help, please with 11a Want conviction of third criminal possessing drug. Is the answer Dither? I'm assuming it's an anagram of third containing e.

Horse and junk are both terms for heroin yeah but maybe junk is anything you inject whereas horse is definitely heroin.

It's a clever play on the word "conviction" - lack of conviction could mean "to dither".

7ac Young one who'd come out by kind of junction is a liability (4)

DEBT

Glad to see the perpetuation of deb(utante). Still well within living memory. Last ball - July 1958.

Must admit I wasn't aware of UPS as a delivery company (United Parcels Service). I can see DHL coming up in a clue for author Roald or for dahlia.

That was 3d Company that delivers positive experiences (3)
