Thanks bunty. I'd mistakenly put TIMBER for post in 1a instead of seeing bank as the definition; but even if I'd seen it was CAMBER my knowledge of Greek myth would still not have stretched to getting that fury.

How does stay on for 11a parse, please? Also, 6d Doctor, a gloomy type, and 27a Union with Diana in royal family. I think the answers are Moper and Tudors but, apart from Tudors being a royal family, can't parse them?

What a poor c;lue 27 A is! Diana Dors has been dead for almost 40 years and I don't know if there was ever a point where the mention of 'Diana' made people immediately think of her.
