Help required please with last two in:

46d "Dirtier mark on island? Dug around it" (7)

M?D?I?R Looks like it must be MUDDIER for dirtier but don't see where dug around it fits.

48d "Member of group ending in Zulu province" (6)

?U?B?C Can only see QUEBEC for province but if so can't see the parsing.

46 is M(ark) ) I in UDDER (dug is a word for udder)

48 I think this refers to the NATO alphabet where Q == Quebec and Z = Zulu

Here's a couple of clues I can't parse:-
18 Across - "Guy turning head in decorative material"
-answer appears to be RIBBON (R-B-O-)
15 Across - "Rest of pork pie to put away quickly"
answer appears to be LIE-DOWN (L-E -O-N)

18 Guy, as in to joke or lark = RIB. Reversal of NOB (head)
15 Pork pie = LIE (cockney slang), DOWN as in drink (put-away) quickly

15 Across is hyphenated, incidentally and appears as (3-4) in the clue.

For 18A, I think guy is being equated to rib, as a supporting structure, then nob (head) turned.
For 15A, the definition is rest, pork pie = lie, and to down food is to eat it quickly

I'm not going to ask for help with any clues, there are far too many I haven't got, about three quarters of the grid is still a blank for me. I found it impossible going this week, no fun at all and very demoralising.
