Congratulations, jono … I was so seduced by your clue, I overlooked any imperfections, if there were any.

Thanks to tykefiftyone for hosting a great competition, and to all for the votes. I am now officially unnumbered [Chambers def. 2].

Off-topic question, but I don't know where to post it:
I'm due to host Clueless 550, posting from USA.
I noticed Clueless 548 and 549 were posted just after 21:00 (board time) on Mondays.
Before investigating, I'd planned to post either tonight (wee hours Monday AM board time) or tomorrow morning (early PM board time).
Is there a customary/preferred time to start the Clueless thread? TIA.

geeker: The posting seems to be getting earlier and earlier. I usually post around 7 pm Eastern on Monday (I’m in Massachusetts).

Thanks.
The last 5 were posted at 23:00, 21:00, 22:00, 19:00 and 18:00 (in reverse order, board time to nearest hour). If I post just before work (most convenient) it'll be in the 18-19:00 area, should be reasonable.

All done Jono. I think we are all guilty of having some loose definitions.
Sorry Tyke for any confusion. I meant Patrick 27 and not Patrick27 27.
We have no dupliction of names so we can simply ignore the enumerations?
Good job and an interesting word although I completely messed up my entry!

It’s just occurred to me that “between the covers” would have worked much better than “between the sheets”
