Cannot parse the following clue:

17a Rightist or leftist in the ceremony over there? (11)
I have t-a-c-e-i-e. I can see the answer must be Thatcherite (rightist), but how does the leftist get in?

All help gratefully received.

Tough one this week! Need these, if anyone can help:-
45 Down - "Cross at clothes fetish" (6) -M-L-- (amulet?)
55 A cross - "Will proverbially follows and precedes this lady" (7)
--E-E-A (Theresa?)
And I cannot fully parse 38 Across - "Party around upright man's holiday home" (Balmoral Castle seems to be the answer)

Many thanks, Chris E - there I was, fixated with BALL for the party. Yes, the clothes fetish one is an odd one! Just need the Theresa one to work now.

Very hard this week.
This clue has been mentioned already, does anyone understand the suggested answer?': 45 Down - "Cross at clothes fetish" (6) -M-L-- (amulet?)

Also already mentioned is 55a which I still don't understand: Will proverbially follows and precedes this lady (7).
I see that 'theresa' is contained in the phrase 'Where there's a will there's a way' but surely we can't be expected to spot letters hidden in words that are not contained in the clue.

6a It's played where prisoner no. 15 is kept (5)
c?l?o, so looks like cello, but why 'no. 15'?

Letter the cells rather than number them.
I don't understand the "follows" in 55
