I sailed through this week's mostly though was held up on a couple. FOI 1a LOI 14a. I think I'll make 5d my COD for the amusement of being able to build on the Led Zep offering with a similar gem about my wife going off on holiday by herself to the Caribbean. Jamaica? No... she went of her own accord.

All done. Enjoyed. Plenty of anagrams but some of them are really well constructed.

I can’t, however, parse 16d...

As with Richardk I can't parse 16D.

Spent ages completing S.E. corner as misspelt second word in 7D. Letters were right just in the wrong order (almost an Eric Morecambe quote). More haste, less speed never more appropriate.

Thanks for the tip steviec I'd unwittingly made the same mistake. Two rhyming pairs this week.
Never heard of 13d. The hives in there is a Scottish idiom in my experience.

Some good clues. I think it is quite formatted 1a is usually an anagram which gets you off to a good start , runs of letters and heads of letters gives you a good chance. Could not parse 2d 8d is my COD

Enjoyed this week’s offering. I did exactly the same thing with 7d (the H right?).
Only slight niggle was 4d and the use of ‘on’ as opposed to say ‘under’ in a down clue. Last week we had ‘rising’ in an across clue which similarly didn’t work for me.

Thanks Ianwill. Excellent explanation.

Yep that pesky H Jono. There will be a few of us making that mistake I feel.
