I get that the answer is ANY, and jazzgirl kindly explained the zany part before the thread was deleted for not being posted under the existing thread for this crossword, but can someone explain the definition please? How do we get from "which you like?" to ANY?

I may be missing something obvious, but I just can't make sense of it.

eg Please choose ANY = Please choose which you like

I got stuck on 1 across for a long time while I thought that the answer to 3d began with an 'm' - which satisfies the clue just as much as a 't'.

Thanks - that must be it! It's quite loose, though isn't it? I'm definitely not on the same wavelength as the setter on this one...

4d Noisy show has dull finish - a visiting artist snoring? Is the answer razzmatazz and can someone help with parsing, please?
