Thanks, 1a is horrible, to understand it you need an anagram of a word in the answer, not in the clue.

This puzzle is a tough cookie this week, as is often the case, and would appreciate help with these:-
40 Down - "Provide material to chew on: stuff accompanying a film?"
It's 9 letters, and all I have is "D" to begin with and "A" to finish.
Also, 19 Down - "Group of police officers perhaps finding intruder"
This is 8 letters, and I have B-S---D- Is this BUSYBODY?
+ 22 Down - "Sparing no detail in conclusion" (2,6) Is this AT LENGTH?

40 Docudrama, film.

Do - provide
Cud - material to chew on
Ram - stuff, verb
A - in clue.

Rocketman, I wasn't too keen on the two others.

22 D I think this is just a double definition - sparing no detail, in conclusion.

19. Busybody, intruder in the sense of someone meddling. Body, group and Busy, police - so a Busybody would be a 'group of police officers'.

PS These could be wrong, of course!

Many thanks, Malone - I've gone on and finished the bottom left corner.
It didn't help having "R" in the extreme corner for a long time, until I saw that it should be "T"! And I'd never heard of the drug for overweight. The only bone of contention now is back where "busybody" is (yes, not a good clue), and that's 26 Across ( "Slowcoach?" ) ,for which I presume the answer is BRAKE VAN. For awhile I was considering BRAKE PAD, an essential element for slowing down, but the VAN answer looks better.

The answer is TEA , which is AET backwards, an abbreviation, generally in football, for AFTER EXTRA TIME - usually half an hour.
