Thank you for scanning and uploading this month's puzzle!

Today I had nearly started to search for my February issue for its subscription label when I saw the March 2021 issue index on Harpers.org. My February 2021 issue arrived on February 5, absolutely no advantage in receiving the magazine on the contest deadline.

I printed, solved, scanned, and emailed to a US friend who enjoys 60F weather at present . I am a fan of acrostics and enjoyed this change in puzzle structure.

Have done the puzzle and got the meta(s) but don't understand the handling bit.

I liked S but I suppose that for most of you it was a write-in

Thanks syzygy

rosalind: handle is a US slang term for name, more closely related to 'alias'

Rosalind, I agree that S was a clever clue. That and C were my favorites.

Thank you kleister. Not surprised I didn't understand it!

I liked C too mprs. Though I had to have all the "crossers" to get it.
