I was also stuck on 14d, so many thanks for that! Didn't know that WE stood for Private Eye, so was looking for EP, and like John I didn't get WHIT for hint either.

Can someone help with parsing 28? I can see the connection with Charlotte, but not with the other two names.

I don't often do this crossword, but I found it both challenging and highly enjoyable.

Apologies for not giving the clue, so for anyone else who's wondering, it was: 'Charlotte, Winnie but not Dicky?'

I loved how cleverly deceptive so many of Cyclops' surfaces were, and this was a good example of one!
