2d - Flower briefly seen in borders of rockery (5,3) - RIVER WYE (Flower)

I thought this was going to be a word for "seen" cut short/briefly inside R(ocker)Y but it's not - I can see the letters for 'view' and 'review' but they're not in order and there's also an E outside the Rand Y - any ideas?

I've just realised it's an anagram of "REVIEW" and R(ocker)Y but there's no anagram indicator and what part would "briefly" play?

Brendan, I don't like there being no anagram indicator, but I think you're right. Review could be reviewed cut short, so 'briefly seen'?

I think it’s R for river and Y for wye i.e. brief forms
