2 looks to be boils (b = soft lead pencil + oils).
3 pimple ('p' sounds like 'pea' restarting ['s]imple' = 'easy'

1 - It's a long shot but if one of the Ls (for Large) was removed from piLLs it would leave 'pils' (lager) which would 'go down easier' than 'pills', I suppose.
Without any crossing letters (are there any?) there could be many such possible 'answers', who knows...

1..Yes pills must be right as being easier to swallow when smaller
2..Boils - I had gone through the alphabet with 'oils' to follow but then didn't register boils as spots in my mind
3..Pimples is cleverly thought out, but not by me, I had not considered Soft lead as a B pencil and opening letter 'p' sounding like 'p'
