A bit of advice, Whetstone. I started doing much better with these when I got a copy of the Chambers dictionary. You can get the app version for your smartphone cheaper than print.
I would say yes, but it's also that many of the crossword setters suggest using Chambers as the primary source. It's also great for looking up all the abbreviations that crop up time after time in these puzzles.
Hmm, one of the answers for this crossword was COCKLOFT ('Man, see finally put foot in attic room')...but not found on Chambers online....is it on your apps, anyone?
