Silver Mattrom #5
Gold Aristo #19 Good to see the Bad Boy let out of the box again.

Just watched Buccaneers/Bears, perhaps I should have looked at PR before doing so...

It’s a two horse race with Buddy and FieryJack still to vote... could still be a photo finish

I thought this would be one for the anagrammers and so it proved...
Aristo takes the bronze with a suggestive reference to a ‘substantial chest’, what could he mean?
Faiton, in silver, deploys ‘unorthodox’ as an anagrind, which I for one enjoyed.
But it was Paul, quick off the mark with a wonderfully disguised anagram, who takes gold with..

“She’s a gold-digger - true?” “True - she ran off!” (8,6)

And the prize... is a story told from the 1970s... (I remember this, anyone else?)

And as it was so close, a runner-up prize seems in order... continuing the 1970s theme...

Congratulations, Paul, it's becoming quite a habit.
Thanks for hosting, Jono.

Many thanks to Mathprof for the much appreciated vote. I seem to be going US quite frequently of late.

Your Cowboys D-line should have an easier time this week, facing an inept Giants offense.

Congrats paul and thanks jono.

I must have been one of the few people in the country not to buy "Masquerade" - ironic, as I've participated in team armchair treasure hunts every Christmas for the last three years!

Chris, yes indeed, I still have the Masquerade book on my shelf, which was the inspiration for setting this in fact!
