It's a synonym of 'lad' for the first three + an anag for the rest.

It's a 'before & after' idea, jogamel - linked to the 4 letter word (to get the link between the 5 'extras' it will probably help to be a fan... and the last column will then become obvious).

No, that's historic (if you know what I mean) and then the theme moves on.
Your disappointment can't be too bad - my lot are hovering dangerously far away (we went in opposite directions after a very famous victory over your way).
