Thanks. I was looking for something like that but my knowledge of languages was lacking, it seems. Also, have to confess, I hadn’t heard of chap meaning cheek, so wouldn’t have got it without your explanation.

Yes, "regretted" = RUED + "horse" = NAG around/nipping R(egina) all reversed/mounted.
