always puzzled

If I were going to be on a quiz, I would learn US states and capitals, Presidents (Franklin Pierce a good one...except he is sometimes held to be their worst ever.... ) ,and all the things to which that suffix can be attached.
But luckily I will never again volunteer to be on a quiz team, haing failed to get the right answer to "fur Elise" or (worse) the Garden of England. (Hides head in shame. I was only 22).
Eggheads yesterday brilliant! The program, not the Eggs

Hi Rosalind, those topics make fairly regular appearances in our Quiz League matches. Given some of the answers on various quiz shows not getting the composer of 'Für Elise' and a fleeting forgetting of Kent as the Garden of England are very minor blips. It is a pity that 'Eggheads' has now been decommissioned by the BBC.
