I just have this one where I'm scratching my head (slightly) :-
13 Across - "Establishing standard old room in local". (9)
I have N-R-A-I-E, which, from what I can see, gives me NARRATIVE or NORMALISE. If the former answer applies, there is "native" available for "local", and if the latter, there is "norm" for standard. I just can't see the whole picture! Help, please.

I think it's Normative, establishing standard (norm). It's O, old, Rm, room, inside (in) Native, local. N o rm ative.

Thanks, Malone. That's not a word I've come across often, but the dictionary gives "establishing" as a meaning for it, so well done!

Glad I could help, Rocketman. I'd stuck Normative in on Saturday, without thinking, so I must have previously encountered the word!
