I haven't got ODQ, which doesn't help with this type of puzzle. I can normally get the quotation with a bit of creative googling, but no joy with this one.

Don't know why my last post went twice, apologies. I have it now Orson, thank you. The second line seems fairly tenuous in terms of describing what's going on, but I understand it all now, thank you.

4 letter word for 'captain'/manager around dialect word for 'him'/one ('me' has a missing letter on the end, and is part of the def).

Of course, thanks! Where is the other letter the same as 29d?

At long last I have managed to complete one without even looking at this site. Again it makes the difference if the clues are not too difficult for a cold solve.

Inevitably I have some questions to put my mind at ease. There are two 'T's in the 14 letter word which starts the quotation. One is at 43 across but can someone tell me where the second is located.

Why is Brewster's a help? I could not find anything to assist in my copy.

Someone else I know has suggested that 3 down should be two words.

Otherwise thanks to the setter. In this demanding time Mrs Seal and I are looking after some pups so must throw them some fish.

the other t's in 29.

sorry i can't help with the brewer's stuff (i haven't got a copy) and the thread suggests some of my 'answers', via wiki, could be wrong - but it's also been suggested that the problem is in the setting/editing of the puzzle.

Thanks drxx

The missing 'T" is now obvious!
Has anyone else tried using Brewster's?
