I've seen elsewhere that a "godown" is an eastern warehouse - I didn't know that either!

Hi Thea, I think it's.....

Eastern warehouse = Godown (warehouse, especially in SE Asia or E Africa)

Heavy and lacking buoyancy = Like A lead balloon
