Not a crossword - but a word puzzle I can't solve; hoping someone can help!
There is always a link between the 5 answers to the Times concise Quintagram, but the answer is never supplied.
Can anyone identify a link between:
< quirk, vinyl, litany, pilgrim, Gilgamesh > ??

I had to do a lot of research and searching and then someone pointed out that if you take two letters from each word it spells quintagram! QUirk, vINyl etc

Good spot, in addition it's progressively the (1st + 2nd) + (2nd + 3rd) ... + (5th + 6th) letters.
