Loads still to do and cannot parse some of them, so I'll start by asking for help with the parsingsā€¦
10) Fish we hauled back in is still twitching? Lifeless ultimately (8)
Alewives are fish but can't parse it.
4) Composer refitting central part of washing appliance (5)
Bizet fits but can't parse it.
12) Stereotype in England - Henchard, say, getting rid of wife (5,3)
Essex Man/Men fits but still cannot parse it
23) Old Italian, one full of beans, maybe? The reverse! (6) ???I??
8) Recall note covering, for example, White Horse Inn? (6) ??A???.
Imaret is an inn but still cannot parse it.
I will leave it at that for now as many more to do and need to cook dinner and watch The Jungle. Will reply tomorrow. Thanks in advance.

Replace central letter in Bizet, with "d".
