Yes. It's one of those where you have to guess the answer, then see how it works. He was a jazz great, but not high on my list!

Well, struggled through that without enjoying it too much. Paul used to be my favourite setter once the great Monkey Puzzler passed away but, I don't know, these last 18 months or so, I just can't seem to get on his wavelength. Anyway, all done but can't parse 13a so maybe some enlightenment please? Thanks.
