It has, of course, take me even longer than ginge or sunray and I have not quite finished it. Just the edge ones on the NW side (have PH in the middle) and some along the top. Has the first witch the same name as a lady who is frequently on our TV screens? Surname beginning with M?

Hi ros, I don't watch much telly so don't know who you're referring to but starting top left as per the preamble they enumerate as (6), (7), (8), (6), (8) & (7). I can be more specific on any if you need a further nudge.
As I indicated to syzygy by email, I think it's my encyclopedic knowledge of witches having gone out with quite a few !

All done now. Think I should read the famous book referred to in clue 1!!
