How are the 13 letters of the contributor split? My letters don't seem to yield a name

Also missing the extra letters from these(I have the answers from the defn parts) if someone could help-

Hi Bunty, the 13 letters are split into rank 7 letters + 2 initials + 4 letter surname.
26. Darwin's English = Australian for English, wife = w.
19. (as + u) in a synonym of characteristic
20 synonym of Biology classes, first letter extra.
21 oe

26 The first two letters of your answer are the first two letters of a word meaning 'Darwin's English'. The third letter gives 'wife', I think.
21.I have Oe for the grandchild.

..so just the diagonals (nearly) then OR 2 of the unclued answers too ( the 4 letter one and the 6 letter one)as they are the 5,4??

Hi kirky, I don't submit but my understanding is just the "almost" diagonals; by "solving" the Unclueds you've automatically "highlighted" them.
